5 weeks in and things are different! Now looking at the main reason why I started this diet was to get a clearer skin, get rid of acne and redness. AND THAT IS NOW..still there.. BUT! my skin feels great! I still get acne now and then but the number of that happening have reduced greatly! the redness is not even edging and I have to search for a solution for this later. BUT my skin have turned super soft! and it looks more fresh! so something did change indeed! I have not yet experienced the hardcore Keto! I stayed 5 weeks in the reset diet instead of 3 because of stress, stress pumps up insulin into the blood and insulin stops Keto production, the last couple of weeks were tough, lots of insulin.. so I felt I should extend my time in the reset diet before starting the hard part. (or the fun part as the book calls it). As for the superpowers I should be feeling, I am diffidently more energetic and focused, I find it easier to do exercise and my sleep is more satisfying, I've been waking up at 4am even before starting keto, but now I wake up before the alarm goes off and I feel more awake and energetic than before -where I used to drag my body out of the warmth of bed-, I also find it surprisingly easy to live without flour, sugar, fried food, junk food, quick snacks and candy bars.. I'm enjoying the Keto recipes a lot cause now everything is dipped in butter! I've never been a fan of butter but you can't argue that anything taste way better with butter instead of bad oils (sunflower oil, soy oil..ect). I wasn't on the heavy side to start with, not too skinny neither, but I did lose weight! just looking at the amount of butter and heavy cream I'm consuming on daily bases my old mindset thought I would gain at least 7 kilograms a week, nope! eating butter and losing weight.. I'm %100 convinced now that fat have nothing to do with gaining weight! nothing!! carbs does! So starting next week I will be hard-coring keto, with fasted mornings, workouts and surviving on one meal (some of the days not all days), for 6 weeks! let's see how that will go!
